More than 100 Covid-19 positives in Bistupur Harijan Bustee make Admn go on alert mode

Jamshedpur: More than 100 persons living in Harijan Bustee, Bistupur have been found Covid-19 positive. Most of these persons work as sanitation worker in Tata Main Hospital.

The finding has sent a wave of concern through the administration machinery.

Most of the residents of Harijan Bustee are poor and live on the margins of the society. They also do not have any medical facilities available too and are fully dependent on government health machinery.

The fact that the entire area where they live is densely populated is another area of concern. Social distancing is very difficult in this area.

Seeing the rapid spread of corona in the city, the administration would now need to focus more on such areas where population density is high and social distancing is very difficult due to practical reasons.
