Mandatory Covid-19 test and quarantine for all incoming migrants in East Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner cum District Disaster Management Authority, Mr Ravi Shankar Shukla, today issued orders that all migrants arriving in the district from other states be made to undergo mandatory Covid-19 test and remain in quarantine till their test report is known.

Keeping the Covid-19 situation in mind and the chances of infection in incoming migrants, the administration has decided that all incoming migrants be mandatorily tested for Covid and be kept in quarantine till their report is clear.

The orders have been issued as per the Epidemic Disease Act 1807, Jharkhand Epidemic Disease (Covid 19) Regulation 2020 and the Disaster ManagementAct-2005.

According to the latest order, everyone entering East Singhbhum from other states would have to first give sample for Covid-19 test at any institutional or paid quarantine centre and then stay there till their report is negative.
