63 new positive cases in Jharkhand on July 3, cured 13, total cases now 2697, active cases 681

Ranchi: After a bad Thursday, even Friday did not relent for Jharkhand as 63 new Covid-19 positive cases were confirmed.

According to data received by the health department, 63 more persons tested positive for Corona in Jharkhand, while 13 were cured and released from hospitals. With this, the total number of infected cases in the state has reached 2697, while only 681 are active now. In all, 2001 persons have been cured and released from hospitals.

Till date 151699 samples have been tested in the state.

Jharkhand has the satisfaction of a good recovery rate. Even mortality rate is low compared to the national rate.

The first case of Corona infection was detected on March 31 last in Hindpidhi. But since the time the migrant workers started returning to the state, the number of positives started increasing.

However, Jharkhand has a recovery rate better than that for the entire country. The recovery rate has reach 76.90%, while the growth rate of new cases is only 1.91%. The doubling rate of number of patients is 36.72 days, while the death rate is only 0.58%, which is much lower than the national mortality rate.
