Lady cop accuses Munshi of sexual exploitation, complains to CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand police department is faced with yet another embarrassing situation, courtesy one of its junior-ranking officers.

A Munshi (writer clerk) posted at Ranchi Police Lines has been accused of subjecting junior women police officers to sexual exploitation, sources said.

A departmental enquiry has started into the allegations.

The accused, identified as Vijay Kumar Yadav, allegedly exploited a lady cop in the name of allotting her duty.

The alleged victim has complained against Yadav and sent her complaint to police high-ups including IG and SSP.

Copies of the complaint have also been sent to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Chief Secretary and Home Secretary.

Sources maintained that SSP Ranchi has entrusted the Sergeant Major of Ranchi Police Lines with the task of probing the allegations.

The lady cop has further alleged that the accused used to enter the barracks of women police officers and molest them.

The accused also allegedly used to demand money and homemade delicacies from the lady cops.
