23 new COVID-19 cases in East Singhbhum, total infected tally 304

Jamshedpur: As many as 25 positive cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kolhan on Saturday. Two of them were reported in West Singhbhum while 23 others were reported in East Singhbhum.

Saturday proved very disappointing for Jharkhand as the tally increased by 55 in one single day. 23, the maximum no of positive cases were confirmed from East Singhbhum, while the number of cases confirmed in West Singhbhum was 2, Simdega 17, Kodarma 5, two each from Garhwa, West Singhbhum and Ramgarh. On the other hand one patient was were found positive in Hazaribagh, Gumla and Ranchi too.

The total number of positive cases in Jharkhand has reached 2020, while the number of deaths till date is 11.

All the patients diagnosed as COVID-19 positive in East Singhbhum district are now being admitted in the Covid-19 wards.

Meanwhile, the district administration has reiterated its appeal to the citizens to continue abiding by all the safety precautions to thwart the spread of the disease and to continue social distancing.
