DGP directs two-wheeler checking to curb crime

Ranchi/Jamshedpur: Jharkhand police has launched a 15 day special anti-crime checking across the state. Cops will be especially checking two-wheelers with the view to tighten noose around criminals, sources said.

Sources said Jharkhand DGP MV Rao has directed all police superintendents to run the campaign in their respective districts.

Police officials said all drivers are required to wear masks. Thoe failing to do so will be prosecuted, they said.

Jamshedpur police is already running a checking drive to ensure the citizens follow physical distancing norms while on road. Traffic checking drive is also on in the city.
