Jamshedpur East’s MLA Saryu Roy tours flood-stricken areas, urging JNAC and JUSCO officials to immediately address the drainage system problems causing waterlogging after heavy rainfall.

JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy, the MLA of Jamshedpur East, surveyed the waterlogging situation in his constituency after torrential rain caused severe flooding.

He toured areas under Jamshedpur Axis and Jusco, speaking with local residents about the waterlogging problems they were facing.

Mr. Roy visited numerous locations, including Namda Basti, Nanak Nagar, Baridih Shaktinagar, Mithila Colony, and the Mahulbeda Chowk area of Gadhabasa.

A drain near the Mahulbeda check in Gadhabasa had collapsed, leading to the destruction of two shops and a house.

He also received complaints of water entering homes in Baridih, Shaktinagar.

During his conversation with the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), Mr. Roy ordered the immediate removal of accumulated garbage in various drains and a speedy clean-up of dirt scattered on the roads.

In his visits to Golmuri, Namda Basti, and Nanak Nagar, he found the drains filled with more than 2 feet of debris.

Mr. Roy promptly informed the Managing Director of TSUISL (formerly JUSCO) about the situation over a phone call and requested immediate action.

The Managing Director of the company, reportedly, assured him of a swift resolution.

Sudhir Singh, Golmuri Mandal President of BJM Kailash Jha, and Aseem Pathak accompanied Mr. Roy during his visit.
