JAMSHEDPUR – Residents of a Sanjay Path apartment in the Ulidih outpost area have raised strong objections over alleged suspicious activities linked to a flat in their building, demanding a fair police investigation. The complaints have been directed at a woman identified as Nandini Mukherjee, who lives in the flat, and B.K. Sharma, a resident of Kashidih.
According to residents, unknown visitors have been frequenting the flat for several months, creating unease among people living in the apartment and the surrounding area. Locals have alleged that the woman staying in the flat has attempted to lure minors into inappropriate activities, though none of these claims have been officially confirmed.
Residents said a similar dispute had arisen over the same flat in the past. The woman was reportedly asked to vacate the premises following objections at the time, but she later returned to live there again, deepening concerns among neighbours.
The matter escalated further after a minor boy from a family living in the apartment stepped out of his home late at night. He had told his family that a friend was in trouble and needed his help. Growing suspicious of his movements, family members followed him.
According to residents, the boy was seen entering the flat on Sanjay Path. His mother allegedly locked the flat from outside soon after. Residents said a woman arrived at the spot a short while later, broke the lock and took the boy away with her.
The incident triggered anger among residents of the apartment, who have since sought police and administrative intervention. Locals have demanded that authorities investigate the activities linked to the flat, question those named in the complaint, and take strict legal action if the allegations are found to be true.
Police and the administration have not issued any official confirmation regarding claims of a sex racket, attempts to lure minors, or any other allegation raised by residents. The actual facts of the case are expected to emerge only after a police investigation is completed.
