Brahmarshi Vikas Manch Elects Women’s Wing Office-Bearers in Kadma

Around 50 Women Take Part as Amita Shukla Named Unit President

JAMSHEDPUR – Around fifty women took part as the Brahmarshi Vikas Manch held elections for its women’s wing on Monday.

The election covering the Kadma, Sonari and Bistupur units took place at Brahmarshi Bhavan in Kadma. Observers Bhaskar, Anees and Ram Nath Pandey oversaw the proceedings.

The programme began with tributes paid to Swami Sahajanand Saraswati. Members took a pledge to follow his ideals.

Following this, the women unanimously nominated their new office-bearers. Amita Shukla was elected president of the unit.

Meanwhile, Pinky was named general secretary of the women’s wing. Khushbu was appointed as treasurer for the unit.

Nearly fifty women from the unit took part with considerable enthusiasm. Members present included Annu Singh, Manju Singh, Jyoti, Amita, Yampu Devi, Pratibha Shukla, Kiran Devi and Manju Devi, among others.

Ravi Bhushan conducted the proceedings of the event. Bhaskar oversaw the women’s wing election process itself.

Several senior members were present for the occasion. These included founding general secretary Raj Kishore, Manch president Satyendra Kumar, and general secretary Jai Kumar.

Others in attendance included Ram Uday Prasad Singh and Deepu Singh, president of the Kadma-Sonari-Bistupur unit. Rakesh Kumar, Rajesh Shukla, Krishna Kumar, Roshan, Gopal, Sanjeev, Sujit, Kunal, Gopesh, Satyendra, Rakesh Singh, Alok and Babulal also attended.

The election in Kadma comes amid a series of community and organisational gatherings held recently across the city. Similar felicitation events have been held elsewhere in Bistupur, including a recent DAV athletics event that saw wide participation.
