Key Points:

  • 20-bed facility set up at Bindal Mall on Sonari Marine Drive
  • Senior urologist has treated thousands of patients since 1995

JAMSHEDPUR – A super speciality hospital, the Dr. D K Mishra Nephro Urology and Stone Centre, will be inaugurated on July 26 at Sonari Marine Drive. The facility has been set up on the second floor of Bindal Mall.

The announcement was made by senior city urologist Dr. D K Mishra during a press conference held at his clinic. He said the new centre would significantly expand urological care available in the city.

The 20-bed hospital will be fully air-conditioned. Besides this, it will house ultrasound and X-ray facilities alongside indoor OPD services.

Modern operation theatres for urology and general surgery will also be part of the setup. In addition, the hospital will offer treatment for stone removal, endo-urological surgery and laser surgery.

Cancers related to urology will be treated using modern methods at the centre as well. Dr. Mishra said the facility would provide patients with more advanced and improved healthcare options.

He recalled that he had begun his career as a urology specialist in 1995 in the erstwhile South Bihar region, now part of Jharkhand. Over nearly 35 years of practice, he has treated thousands of patients successfully, he said.

Meanwhile, his existing OPD near the Tanishq showroom close to Shri Sheetla Mandir in Sakchi will continue to operate as before. However, the new facility is expected to ease patient load by offering specialised inpatient services closer to the Sonari area.

Ranjana Mishra and Dharmendra Pandit were also present at the press conference. The city has in recent years seen several private healthcare institutions expand specialised services, including cardiology and orthopaedic centres, as demand for advanced treatment options grows among residents.
