JAMSHEDPUR – Chaos gripped the Jugsalai police station area on Friday afternoon when a devastating fire suddenly broke out at the Gangaur Mishthan factory, engulfing the entire unit in smoke and flames within minutes.
According to locals, smoke was first seen rising from the factory. Within a very short time, the fire took a ferocious form. Black smoke billowed far and wide, spreading panic across the surrounding locality. Shopkeepers and residents in the vicinity found themselves in a near-stampede situation as the blaze intensified rapidly.
A large crowd gathered at the spot almost immediately. Multiple fire tenders from the fire department reached the scene upon receiving the alert and began efforts to douse the blaze. Firefighters worked strenuously to prevent the fire from spreading further to adjoining structures.
