5 Killed in Accident as Car Catches Fire After Collision With a Bus in Rajrappa Ramgarh

At least 5 persons travelling in a car were burnt to death when their car rammed into a bus in Lari of Rajrappa area in Ramgarh district.

Ramgarh: In a tragic accident, at least five people died on Wednesday morning near Lari under Rajrappa police station area.

According to reports coming from Ramgarh, a speeding car rammed head one into a passenger bus going from Dhanbad to Ranchi on Ramgarh-Bokaro Highway No-23 at 8 in the morning. The car caught fire immediately after the collision.

The people aboard did not get a chance to get out. Five people travelling in the car were burnt alive. At the same time, the people on the bus somehow saved their lives by coming out.

Head-on collision between bus and car

According to the police, a WagonR car was going from Ramgarh towards Bokaro. Around eight o’clock in the morning, there was a direct collision between the bus and the car near the Lari Panshala bridge of Rajrappa police station area. After the accident, the car caught fire and five people died due to burns.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out immediately after the collision. The information about this incident was immediately given to the Rajrappa police station and the fire brigade. But by the time Rajrappa police and fire brigade team reached, the entire bus was burnt.

Five people trapped in the car burnt alive

According to eyewitnesses, for some reason, the door of the car could not open after the accident and as a result the five passengers were trapped in the car and were burnt alive.

At the same time, about 20 passengers aboard the bus are said to be safe.

The police said that the fire in the car was so severe that the trapped people could not get out. By the time the fire brigade team reached the spot and the fire was brought under control, all the people were charred to death.

At the same time, Ramgarh Bokaro Highway was been completely closed after the accident. There were long queues of vehicles on both sides.

A huge crowd of locals had assembled at the site.
