CII Eastern Region Honours TSDPL for Safety, Health and Environment Practices

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL) announced that its Kalinganagar plant has won the First Prize in the Medium-Scale Manufacturing category at the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Excellence Awards in Odisha for 2024–25.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region presented the award during the Safety Symposium and Exposition held in Kolkata. The recognition was given by Lokesh Ray, Advisor, Shyam Mining Group and CII Senior Executive, in the presence of Rajiv Mangal, Vice President, Safety, Health and Sustainability, Tata Steel, and Chairman, CII Eastern Region Safety Subcommittee.

Rajesh Chaudhary, Chief of TSDPL Kalinganagar, received the award along with company officials. He remarked, “This recognition reflects our team’s dedication to creating a safe and sustainable workplace. We remain committed to setting new benchmarks in SHE excellence across the industry.”

The event saw participation from more than 100 companies. TSDPL’s recognition reaffirmed its commitment to operational safety, environmental responsibility, and employee welfare. The company also expressed gratitude to CII for the honour.

TSDPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, provides Steel Service Centre solutions. Its Kalinganagar facility, with a capacity of one million tonnes per annum, processes coils into slit coils and cut-to-length sheets.
