BJP’s Membership Drive in Jharkhand to Begin on December 22

Sadasyata Sangathan Mahaparv Aims to Strengthen Grassroots

Key Points:

  • Membership drive postponed due to assembly elections
  • Formal launch scheduled for December 22
  • Workshops planned across districts and mandals

RANCHI – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to commence its Sadasyata Sangathan Mahaparv (Membership Organization Mega Festival) in Jharkhand on December 22, following a postponement due to recent assembly elections. The announcement was made during a workshop at Swarnarekha Banquet Hall in Nagdi, Ranchi, chaired by state president Babulal Marandi.

Membership Program: A Festival, Not a Campaign

BJP’s membership in-charge and Andhra Pradesh state president, MP D. Purandeswari, emphasized that the membership initiative is celebrated as a “mega festival” within the party’s extensive family. She highlighted that since the launch of the online membership program in 2014, BJP has enrolled over 11.35 crore members nationwide, aiming to reach 14 crore after completing the drive in the remaining states. Purandeswari underscored the dedication of BJP workers, stating, “We have the passion to live and die for the country,” and stressed the goal of reaching every household and booth.

Focus on Organizational Strength

State President Babulal Marandi noted that post-elections, the party is concentrating on the “organization festival” to build an inclusive BJP. He acknowledged the support of 59 lakh people in the assembly elections and emphasized the importance of a robust organization to counter anti-democratic and anti-development forces in Jharkhand.

Turning Challenges into Opportunities

State in-charge Dr. Laxmikant Vajpayee spoke about transforming challenges into opportunities through the membership festival, aiming to strengthen the party and foster new leadership. Executive President Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai described the festival as a chance to disseminate BJP’s political ideology across Jharkhand, calling it a “celebration of public engagement and power accumulation.”

Ideological Journey Rooted in Indian Values

Regional Organization General Secretary Nagendra Tripathi highlighted BJP’s “Vichar Yatra,” rooted in Indian values, and criticized foreign-influenced ideologies. He emphasized the party’s commitment to eradicating poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition, asserting that BJP is dedicated to involving every section of society in the nation’s progress.

Upcoming Workshops and Programs

State Organization General Secretary Karmveer Singh announced district-level workshops on December 15 and 16, with state leaders’ participation, followed by mandal-level workshops on December 18 and 19. The Membership Mahaparv will be formally inaugurated on December 22, with special programs on December 25, commemorating Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, to further promote the membership initiative across the state.
