JAMSHEDPUR – RVS College of Engineering and Technology has bolstered its fire safety measures with a cutting-edge firefighting system across its expansive campus.

The state-of-the-art equipment, valued at ₹4 million, now safeguards the institution’s 30-acre premises.

Professor Thakur Pranav Kumar Gautam, who heads the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, unveiled the system’s details.

The advanced setup boasts 52 strategically placed water discharge points across the campus.

These points can project water up to an impressive height of 60 feet and a distance of 120 feet.

This extensive coverage ensures swift fire control for key structures, including the administrative building and five hostels.

To maximize the system’s effectiveness, the college conducted a comprehensive training session.

Forty staff members participated in the training, familiarizing themselves with the system’s operation.

Shatrughan Singh, the Institution Treasurer, emphasized the critical role of this installation in emergency management.

Meanwhile, Principal Professor (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari hailed the new system as a significant achievement for the college.

The unveiling event saw attendance from several key officials of the institution.

Administrative Dean Professor Krishna Murari was present to witness this important addition to campus safety.

Dr. Sharad Kumar Mahto, the Academic Dean, also attended the ceremony.

Various department heads and faculty members joined in to mark this milestone in the college’s safety infrastructure.

The new firefighting system represents a substantial investment in student and staff safety.
