JAMSHEDPUR – Taking a step towards improved policing, Jamshedpur Police returned 686 lost mobile phones to their owners in a special camp held at Sakchi’s Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium.
The phones were recovered from both urban and rural areas.
SSP Kaushal Kishore stated that the police have so far returned over 2,500 lost phones to their owners.
He added that phones lost due to theft or other criminal incidents were recovered based on information provided through Jamshedpur Police’s WhatsApp number.
The Technical Cell of the police played a key role in retrieving these devices and returning them to the complainants.
SSP Kishore also mentioned the launch of the ciir.gov.in portal by the Government of India, where citizens can easily file complaints and track their lost devices.
The initiative was praised by the community for its efficiency in reuniting people with their lost property.
