Illegal Scrap Yards in Adityapur and Telco Targeted in Major Operation
In what came as an important development, the Tatanagar Railway Protection Force (RPF) raided illegal scrap yards in Adityapur and the Jemco area of Telco police station, Jamshedpur on Saturday, while seizing a large quantity of stolen railway property and arresting four individuals.
JAMSHEDPUR – In an important development, the Tatanagar RPF has carried out extensive raids in Adityapur (Seraikela-Kharsawan district) and the Jemco area of Telco police station.
On its target were illegal scrap yards involved in storing stolen railway property.
These raids resulted in the seizure of a substantial amount of stolen railway assets and also finally in Adityapur the arrest of four individuals.
According to reports received, among those arrested were Mannu Singh, an illegal scrap yard operator in Jemco, and his two employees, Ganesh Mahato and Gurudev Sharma.
Sources said that Mannu Singh’s partner, Ashok Kumar, somehow managed to escape and is currently being sought by the RPF.
According to the information, based on the inputs provided by the arrested individuals, the RPF conducted a further raid in Adityapur, apprehending a person named Farukh, who was responsible for transporting the stolen goods to the scrap yard.
All four arrested individuals have now been sent to jail.
The RPF said that efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding accused, Ashok Kumar.
RPF sources added that this specific operation and the success only underlines the RPF’s commitment to cracking down on the theft and illegal trade of railway property, ensuring the protection of essential infrastructure.
