Mock Parliament on NEP 2020 Engages Students at DBMS College of Education, Jamshedpur

Participants Discuss Crucial Educational Issues, Gain Insights into Policy-Making Process

Students at DBMS College of Education, Kadma, had a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of educational policy-making through a mock parliament centered on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, organized by the B.Ed third semester students and the Social Science Club.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Mock Parliament on NEP 2020, held at DBMS College of Education, Kadma, on Monday, provided a platform for students to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of educational issues and gain insights into the process of passing education policies.

Organized by the B.Ed third semester students in collaboration with the Social Science Club, the event saw participants taking on roles such as Education Minister, Prime Minister, Leader of Opposition, Science and Technology Minister, and President.

The discussions revolved around critical topics, including continuing education development, school education, multilingualism, school curriculum, evaluation reforms, equitable and inclusive education, online and digital education, technology in education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Tribhasha Sutra, vocational education, financial assistance for students, and higher education school administration.

The objective of the program was to educate students about the questions related to education and the process of passing education policies.

Mr. B. Chandrashekhar, Chairperson of DBMS Trust, motivated the students and announced that another mock parliament would be organized by the students of the first session after the formation of the new government.

The event was attended by esteemed members of the college, including President Mr. B. Chandrashekhar, Secretary Mrs. Sripriya Dharmarajan, Principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita, and other faculty members.

Students Nistla Shailja, Ranasurya, Renu, Manoj, Shahnawaz, Bimlesh, Seema Khushboo, Manimala, Parvinder, Nikita Ghazala, Afreen, Harshita, Ashrita, Jaya, S.Devi, and Shagufta, among others, actively participated and contributed to the success of the program.

Dr. Juhi Samarpita expressed gratitude to the management, emphasizing that such programs raise awareness among students and help them better understand the process of running the country.

Poonam Kumari, Assistant Professor, conveyed the Social Science Club’s appreciation for the students’ efforts.
