A school auto carrying children overturned near Adarsh Rakshi Middle School in Sidgora, Jamshedpur, leaving two children seriously injured.

Local residents rescued the children and rushed them to hospital. Sidgora Police reached the spot, seized the damaged auto and launched an investigation.

Locals alleged that the driver may have been under the influence of drugs, while two suspected smoking pipes were reportedly found at the scene. Police have not officially confirmed intoxication, and medical tests and investigation will establish the facts.

Police are also checking whether the auto was carrying more children than permitted.
