Jamshedpur: On the demise of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and social worker Anil Kumar Verma, a tribute meeting was organized on Sunday at the Bharatiya Bhojpuri Sangh office in Chhota Govindpur. The people present in the meeting kept two minutes silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul and paid emotional tribute to him.
It is noteworthy that Anil Kumar Verma died on 30 May 2026 due to heart failure. He left behind a large family including two sons, a daughter and grandchildren.
Anil Kumar Verma has been associated with social and cultural activities for a long time. He had also served as the President of Kayastha Mahasabha and was playing an active role as the patron of Bharatiya Bhojpuri Sangh. Due to his remarkable contribution in various social programs, he was recognized as a respected and popular personality in the society. His last rites were performed at Swarnarekha Burning Ghat on Sunday.
Addressing the tribute meeting, Panchayat Samiti member Anjay Kumar Singh alias Bhola said that the demise of Anil Kumar Verma is an irreparable loss to the society. He prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
On this occasion, hundreds of people from Telco and Govindpur area including Anup Ranjan, Rupesh Katiyar, Satish Srivastava, Radheshyam Singh, Bhola Singh, Vimal Kant Jha, Shashi Sinha, Paritosh Singh, Subhash Rai, Jugnu Verma, Mukesh Thakur, Arvind Srivastava, Manoj Sinha, Sushil Srivastava, Rajeev Srivastava, Sanjay Srivastava were present.
