JAMSHEDPUR – A 23-year-old man died by suicide in Baharagora days before his sister’s wedding, leaving his family devastated.

The incident occurred in Baharagora police station limits of East Singhbhum district. The deceased was identified as Animesh Sahu from Uinala village.

He was found hanging from a cashew tree late Friday night. The location was behind a polytechnic college campus.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body on Saturday morning. Officers then sent it for post-mortem examination.

The death shocked villagers, who gathered in large numbers. Many residents expressed grief over the sudden loss.

However, the family revealed details of his mental condition. His father said Animesh was deeply worried about finances.

The sister’s wedding was scheduled for April 21. However, the family struggled to arrange necessary funds.

Moreover, Animesh had been missing since April 17. Police had launched a search using technical tracking methods.

Meanwhile, mobile location data helped trace his last movements. The search ended tragically at the orchard site.

In contrast, the house had been preparing for wedding celebrations. Now, preparations have turned into mourning rituals.

Villagers described Animesh as a responsible young man. However, they said he remained silent about his struggles.

Meanwhile, police confirmed that further investigation is ongoing. Authorities are also recording statements from family members.

The tragedy has cast a shadow across the village. Residents continue to support the grieving family during this period.
