KOLKATA — A spring-themed cultural evening, “Ananda Basanta,” was organized in Kolkata on March 28 by Jodhpur Park Saraswat Sanskriti Kendra, with performances from seven dance institutions and broadcast reach across 15 nations.
The event drew its inspiration from the spirit of the Bengali spring season. It was themed around the essence of Phagun — the fresh breeze, blooming nature, and the vast blue sky. The entire programme was presented under the expert supervision of eminent Bharatanatyam exponent Guru Smt. Anita Mallick.
The centrepiece of the evening was a dance production titled “Ananda Basanta.” It captivated the audience and left a deep impression on all those present.

The choreography for the programme was helmed by Kabita Chattopadhyay. Her artistic vision gave the evening a distinct aesthetic quality.
Meanwhile, the event received significant international exposure. Its key segments are currently being broadcast internationally through California Television Global. The transmissions are reaching audiences in 15 countries, giving the cultural celebration a global dimension.
