Key Points:

  • District animal fair held at Seraikela with seven cows distributed
  • Free artificial insemination scheme aids breed improvement program
  • Aadhaar-based tagging system enables online cattle registration

JAMSHEDPUR – Seraikela district organized an animal fair on Thursday where officials distributed seven cows while promoting free breeding schemes.

The event took place at the district cattle development campus. Dr. Chandan Govind Dev presided over the gathering. He serves as the district cattle development officer.

The Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department supported the program. Cattle farmers from various blocks participated enthusiastically. Meanwhile, organizers conducted an animal exhibition alongside the fair.

Officials distributed seven cows during the event. The distribution aimed to support local livestock farmers. Moreover, the program focused on promoting government welfare schemes.

Dr. Chandan Govind Dev addressed the participating cattle farmers. He explained the government’s artificial insemination initiative thoroughly. “This scheme helps improve breed quality significantly,” a local source said.

The program targets cows producing limited milk quantities. Advanced breed semen is used for artificial breeding. Consequently, milk production increases through this scientific method.

The scheme operates completely free of cost. Furthermore, cattle receive online registration under the system. Aadhaar-based tag numbers are assigned to registered animals.

Farmers can access complete animal details through tagging. The digital system maintains comprehensive livestock records. On the other hand, traditional methods lacked such transparency.

Seraikela MLA representative Sanand Acharya attended the program. Kharsawan MLA representative Mangila Mahato was also present. Additionally, numerous cattle farmers participated in the gathering.

The district administration emphasized breed improvement goals. Artificial insemination helps achieve superior cattle genetics. However, farmer awareness remains crucial for program success.

Local livestock owners showed keen interest in scheme. The free registration facility attracted significant attention. Besides, the Aadhaar integration ensures proper animal identification.

The event promoted sustainable animal husbandry practices. District officials encouraged farmers to utilize government facilities. In addition, the program highlighted cattle welfare importance.

The fair demonstrated government commitment toward livestock development. Farmers received practical guidance on breed enhancement techniques. Moreover, the distribution of cows provided immediate agricultural support.
