JCAPL 2.0 Cricket Tournament on January 10-11

Six Men’s and Two Women’s Teams to Compete at Tube Makers Club Ground

Key Points:

  • JCAPL 2.0 tennis ball cricket tournament scheduled for January 10-11
  • Eight teams including six men’s and two women’s squads to participate
  • Chandulal Bhalotia Social Welfare Trust announced as title sponsor

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Chartered Accountants Society will organize a two-day cricket festival. JCAPL 2.0 will take place at Tube Makers Club Ground in Telco next week.

Six men’s teams and two women’s teams will compete. All franchises are owned by local chartered accountants from Jamshedpur. Moreover, this ownership structure demonstrates the CA community’s leadership involvement.

Event Director CA Sugam Saraiwala addressed media on Monday. Press Coordinator CA Ravi Gupta joined him at Bistupur Chamber Building. However, they explained the tournament’s comprehensive planning and execution process.

A systematic player selection process occurred on December 27. Team formations followed transparent and balanced selection criteria. Furthermore, organizers ensured fair distribution of talent across squads.

Chandulal Bhalotia Social Welfare Trust serves as title sponsor. Bhalotia Group has also extended financial support for the event. In addition, several co-sponsors have pledged their backing.

The Nail Loft joined as a co-sponsor immediately. Kuldeep Sons Jewellers committed resources for the tournament. Besides, Hotel Radisson and P&M Hi-Tech City Center provide additional sponsorship.

The tournament aims to promote health among chartered accountants. Sportsmanship and mutual harmony remain key objectives of organizers. On the other hand, collective participation strengthens professional bonds within the community.

JCAS President Manish Munka attended the press conference. Secretary Shiv Chaudhary and Treasurer Vineet Mehta were also present. Meanwhile, Ramakant Gupta and Sanjay Goyal represented the organizing committee.

Anand Agarwal participated in the announcement ceremony as well. Kashelendra Das, Rakesh Roshan Jha, and Dheeraj Prasad joined them. Furthermore, Daya Shankar and Ravi Kumar Gupta completed the leadership panel.

The chartered accountants community has shown enthusiasm for the event. Professional cricket tournaments like this foster team spirit among members. In contrast, traditional networking events lack such engaging competitive elements.

ICAI Jamshedpur initiatives have previously promoted sports activities successfully. Tennis ball cricket provides accessible participation opportunities for all age groups. Besides, the format encourages maximum involvement from community members.

Women’s teams will make their debut in this edition. This inclusion marks progressive thinking by tournament organizers. Moreover, it reflects growing gender diversity within the accounting profession.
