Loyola, Little Flower Among Six Finalists in Annual Inter-School Competition

JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS English School secured first place at the 35th Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest held on November 7, defeating five other finalists in a competition honoring a former student.
The annual event commemorates Seuli Seal. She was a student at the school. She passed away on March 3, 1989.
Samanway Banerjee conducted the quiz competition. He is a national-level quizmaster. Moreover, he has hosted over 500 quizzes nationwide.
The contest attracted 25 schools in the preliminary round. Students from Classes V, VI, and VII participated. However, only six teams advanced to the finals.
Loyola School qualified for the final round. DBMS English School also made it through. In addition, Sacred Heart Convent secured a spot.
Little Flower School entered the finals. Kerala Public School from Kadma qualified too. Furthermore, SDSM School for Excellence completed the finalist lineup.
The final round featured six segments. Questions covered diverse subjects. The atmosphere remained competitive yet entertaining.
DBMS English School topped with 180 points. Little Flower School finished second with 100 points. Meanwhile, SDSM School for Excellence placed third with 80 points.
School Management Committee members attended the event. Principal Rajani Shekhar was present. Vice-Principal P.K. Sahu also attended.
Rekha Seal graced the occasion. She is the mother of late Seuli Seal. Her encouragement sustains this annual tradition.
The quiz contest began in 1990. It has been held continuously for 35 years. The event promotes learning among students.
Participants demonstrated sharp thinking skills. They displayed effective teamwork. On the other hand, the audience found the experience enriching.
