JAMSHEDPUR – Devotees filled the Sidhgora Sun Temple as Chhath festivities illuminated the city’s devotion.
The temple complex saw a surge of worshippers at the sacred ghats. Under the guidance of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, the celebrations were conducted with precision and devotion.
Das, who serves as the temple’s caretaker, monitored every arrangement himself. He was seen at the ghats both in the evening and at sunrise.
In the morning, Das, along with his family, offered arghya to the rising sun. Meanwhile, hundreds of vratis performed rituals seeking blessings for prosperity and peace.
Officials ensured strict security and crowd management throughout the event. In addition, volunteers assisted devotees at every step.
Speaking to the media, a source close to the event said, “The festival reflects India’s spiritual unity, where people worship both the setting and the rising sun.”
Raghubar Das extended greetings to all devotees, praying for happiness and prosperity in every household. The festival, once local to Bihar and Jharkhand, is now celebrated by Indian communities worldwide.
