Police on High Alert in Jamshedpur for Durga Puja Security

JAMSHEDPUR – Ahead of Navratri and Durga Puja, Jamshedpur police have tightened security arrangements across the city.

On Thursday, SSP Piyush Pandey briefed personnel of Tango Mobile, Tiger Mobile, and the Women’s Shakti Squad at the PCR campus. He instructed them to perform duties with vigilance during the festive period.

Speaking to media, Pandey said that heavy crowds were expected in market zones. Therefore, all deployed officers had been directed to remain alert. In addition, patrolling in residential areas was being intensified to prevent incidents of theft.

Meanwhile, traffic routes were altered to handle congestion. Authorities have been publicizing the diversions through multiple platforms. Pandey also appealed to citizens to check traffic updates before heading out for pandal visits.
