JAMSHEDPUR – Members of Jharkhand Punrutthan Abhiyan, a non-political social group, met the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum to lodge a complaint regarding alleged irregularities in teacher recruitment at Eklavya Model Residential School.

The school operates under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. According to the group, the official advertisement for recruitment clearly mentioned that candidates from East Singhbhum would receive first priority for district-level posts. However, in the selection process, applicants from other districts were given preference.

District president Balram Murmu submitted a memorandum demanding an inquiry and called for adherence to the original guidelines that grant priority to local candidates.

The delegation included former Jamshedpur Lok Sabha candidate Pranab Mahato, Jitendra Singh Mehra, Aril Sinku, Manjit Singh Kuntia, Jai Haiburu, Pitwas Tamsoy, Shivnath Kisku, and Uday Kisku.

The group emphasized that only fair implementation of the recruitment rules would ensure justice for local candidates.
