JAMSHEDPUR – Jugsalai police arrested two criminals with arms near the Kharkai river on September 4 after receiving a secret tip-off. Officers said the men were planning a major crime.

During the search, police seized two pistols, two live cartridges, and a mobile phone. The arrested men were identified as Abhishek Singh of Bagbera and Ganesh Rajak of Jugsalai.

Investigations revealed that Abhishek Singh had a past criminal record. He had earlier gone to jail in connection with a firing incident in the Jugsalai area three months ago.

Law and Order DSP Tauqeer Alam described the arrests as a major success. He said the police managed to prevent an untoward incident by acting swiftly.

Alam further informed that another accused, Vivek Ji of Parsudih, will be arrested soon. According to Singh’s statement, the seized weapons were purchased from Vivek Ji. His name had also surfaced earlier in a murder attempt on Ravi Yadav in Parsudih.

The police are now preparing to apprehend him quickly to prevent further criminal activities in the region.
