JAMSHEDPUR – The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur secured the 82nd rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 released by the Ministry of Education.

The recognition highlighted the institute’s consistent progress in academics, research output, infrastructure, and student development. The ranking reaffirmed its standing among the country’s leading technical institutes.

Director Professor Goutam Sutradhar congratulated the community on this occasion. He distributed laddus to all staff members to celebrate the achievement. He also credited faculty, students, staff, and alumni for their contributions to the success.

The NIRF assessment is among the most reputed national ranking frameworks. It evaluates institutions based on teaching and learning, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, inclusivity, outreach, and perception.

The 2025 ranking once again established NIT Jamshedpur as a strong centre for engineering education and research in India. The director reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to scaling greater heights in academics and innovation.
