133 Girls Receive Final Dose of HPV Vaccine in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – A vaccination drive against cervical cancer was completed for 133 school and college girls in the city.
The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West and the Rotaract Club of DBMS College organized the project together. Meanwhile, the final dose of the HPV vaccine was administered to students of DPS and DBMS institutions.
Mehrabai Tata Hospital supplied the vaccines and ensured proper medical assistance. According to a hospital advisor, the project was designed to reduce future cervical cancer risks. “The vaccine is vital for protecting young women,” said one source involved in the program.
On the other hand, the effort was supported by Rotary president Ashok Jha, DBMS principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita, and hospital advisor Dr. Sujata Mitra. Their coordination made the campaign successful.
In addition, moderators Anjali Ganesan, Pooja Paul, Diya Pramanik, and Deeksha worked actively to complete the project. Guidance was also provided to the girls about various preventive measures against cervical cancer.
