Expanding Operations in Odisha

CEO and MD T V Narendran highlighted Tata Steel’s commitment to Odisha, noting significant expansions like the $3 MTPA to 8 MTPA capacity boost at Kalinganagar, expected to generate 8,000 jobs. “Odisha has become our largest investment destination, thanks to its natural resources, strategic location, and supportive governance,” he remarked.

The expansion, valued at ₹27,000 crore, aims to manufacture Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) for India’s automotive sector, reducing dependency on imports.
