JAMSHEDPUR – The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) emerged victorious in the Tata Steel Sport Climbing Championship Cup 2025, securing the maximum medals and points. The three-day event, featuring lead, boulder, and speed climbing categories, culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony at the TSAF Sport Climbing Academy.

Republic Day Festivities Add Color to the Event

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur alongside the championship. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, hoisted the national flag, setting a patriotic tone. A cultural program followed, with young talents showcasing performances that blended sports and cultural pride seamlessly.

Closing Ceremony Highlights

The closing ceremony, attended by notable dignitaries such as Abhijit Avinash Nanoti (MD, JCAPCPL) and Kumar Shivashish (SP City), celebrated the athletes’ achievements. The event included the distribution of medals and certificates to winners in various categories.

Medal Tally

TSAF athletes excelled in multiple categories:

  • Youth C Boys Lead: Akash Soren secured Gold.
  • Youth C Boys Boulder: Shankar Singh Kuntiya won Gold.
  • Youth C Girls Boulder: Manisha Hansda clinched Gold.

Athletes from Kazakhstan and other Indian clubs also showcased stellar performances.
