MEDININAGAR – The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is set to initiate a membership drive in Palamu district starting January 24, targeting the addition of 1.5 lakh new members. A meeting of the JMM coordination committee, chaired by district president and convenor Rajendra Prasad Sinha, finalized the plans at the district office.
Comprehensive Membership Campaign
The drive will kick off with a program at the district headquarters near the six-road intersection in Medininagar. On January 25, another event will take place at the GLA College ground. The campaign will expand to urban and rural areas with an intensive door-to-door approach.
Structural Overhaul of Party Units
During the meeting, leaders discussed reorganizing the party’s panchayat and block-level committees. It was decided that all ward, panchayat, and urban committees in Palamu would be restructured within a month. Leaders also resolved to establish block, municipal, and metropolitan committees promptly.
Leader Statements and Incentives
Rajendra Prasad Sinha emphasized that JMM’s position in PalamuPalamu is robust, and public interest in the party has grown due to Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s popularity. He urged party workers to connect with people at the grassroots level. Sanjeev Tiwari announced that workers enrolling the highest number of members would be honored for their contributions.
The meeting saw participation from prominent JMM leaders, including Sannu Siddiqui, Sunil Tiwari, Bal Kishun Oraon, Chandan Prakash Sinha, Sunny Shukla, Haji Shameem alias Lalan, Ranjit Jaiswal, Sanju Devi, and Fazal Ahmed.
