JAMSHEDPUR – The historic 102-year-old Congress office in Bistupur, popularly known as Tilak Library, reopened today following its extensive renovation. The ceremonial reopening was led by Jharkhand Congress President Kesav Mahato Kamlesh.
Initially, the event began with a traditional puja at the renovated premises, symbolizing a fresh beginning for the facility. Kesav Mahato Kamlesh cut the ribbon, officially reopening the office, in the presence of several senior leaders, including former minister Banna Gupta and Jamshedpur District President Anand Bihari Dubey.
Reviving Historical Significance
During the ceremony, Kamlesh reminisced about the office’s storied past. “Originally, the Congress office was based in Chaibasa before moving to Bistupur. Over the years, the building had become dilapidated, but thanks to efforts initiated by former minister Banna Gupta during his tenure, we have been able to restore it,” he said.
Boosting Morale and Legacy
The newly renovated office has already invigorated party members. “A grand office reflects our unity and inspires our leaders and workers to strive for greater achievements,” Kamlesh added.
The event marked a significant moment for Congress in Jamshedpur, as the party continues to connect with its historical roots while preparing for the future.
