JAMSHEDPUR – The annual Rabindra Sangeet conference, organized by the Tagore Society, commenced at Ravindra Bhavan with a three-day celebration of Rabindra Sangeet. The opening day featured enchanting performances by renowned Kolkata artists Shreya Guha Thakurta, Shasha Ghoshal, and Manomay Bhattacharya, leaving the audience spellbound.

Tagore Society General Secretary Ashish Chaudhuri highlighted the event’s mission to showcase the diversity of Rabindra Sangeet, allowing artists to touch the hearts of the audience.

The conference’s primary goal is to introduce Rabindra Sangeet’s rich heritage to younger generations and music enthusiasts. On the second day, January 11, Kolkata-based artists Utsav Das, Manoj Murali Nair, and Jayati Chakraborty will take the stage to present their musical renditions.

Adding to the performances’ brilliance were exceptional accompanists, including Kolkata’s renowned tabla player Biplab Mandal, esraj maestro Nandan Dasgupta, keyboard artist Subrato Mukherjee, and manjira player Sanjeevan Acharya.
