JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s H-Blast Furnace has set a national record by surpassing 50 million tonnes of hot metal production. It is the first in India to achieve this milestone without requiring mid-term repairs.
The H-Blast Furnace, operational since 2008 with a 3230m³ capacity, consistently exceeds its design limits by 20% annually. Tata Steel credited this accomplishment to efficient processes, innovative strategies, and its skilled workforce.
