Management-Union Talks on TPR Implementation End Without Resolution

Key Points:

  • TISCO UISL workers’ performance incentives pending since grade revision agreement
  • Union officials to discuss next steps in Wednesday meeting at union premises
  • Management-union negotiations fail to reach consensus on TPR implementation

JAMSHEDPUR – The long-pending Team Performance Reward (TPR) issue for Tata Steel UISL employees remains unresolved after Tuesday’s management-union talks.

The TPR system follows Tata Steel’s employee incentive model. The company rewards workers quarterly based on their performance metrics.

Delayed Implementation

The grade revision agreement promised TPR implementation within six months. However, two years have passed without any concrete action.

The agreement emerged from discussions between management and JUSCO Workers’ Union. The union has been actively pursuing this matter.

Recent Developments

HR Head Devi Prasad Panthala met with union representatives on Tuesday. The meeting included Union President Raghunath Pandey and General Secretary CDS Krishna.

Executive President Amarnath Tiwari also participated in the discussions. However, no breakthrough was achieved during the talks.

Union’s Response

The JUSCO Workers’ Union has called for an urgent meeting. Union officials will gather at 10:30 AM on Wednesday.

The meeting agenda includes reviewing the TPR negotiations. Leaders will also discuss other pending worker-related issues.
