JAMSHEDPUR – Industry representatives met Industries Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav to protest Adityapur Municipal Corporation’s proposed holding tax and highlight infrastructure gaps.

“The additional tax burden would affect 1,200 units employing 1.5 lakh workers,” stated Gyan Chandra Jaiswal.

Recent surveys show 70% of area roads need urgent repairs. Accident rates have increased by 40%.

Additionally, non-functional streetlights create security risks. Local police report rising theft incidents.

The region contributes significantly to state GDP. Similar industrial areas show 30% growth without additional taxes.

The administration plans comprehensive infrastructure upgrade. Work will begin within three months.
