JAMSHEDPUR – MGM Medical College empowers department heads with direct spending authority of Rs 10 lakh annually to boost operational efficiency.

The move aims to streamline administrative processes. “Quick decisions will improve patient care,” a senior administrator stated.

Financial Reforms

Department heads can now purchase emergency supplies instantly. The old system required months for approvals.

The hospital plans infrastructure upgrades soon. Moreover, basic facilities will see immediate improvements.

Academic Development

Twenty-two new committees will oversee reforms. These bodies will monitor research and ethics.

The college focuses on research enhancement. Meanwhile, student administration systems are being strengthened.

Infrastructure Plans

A new hospital building is being planned. It will support increased MBBS seat capacity.

The college prepares for major expansion. Furthermore, unused items will be auctioned by January 2025.

Administrative Support

Department heads seek dedicated clerks. Currently, they manage funds without proper support.

The principal acknowledges staffing needs. “Long-term solutions are being developed,” Dr. Diwakar Hansda explained.
