JAMSHEDPUR – A shocking discovery was made near the Chhath Ghat behind Jisu Bhavan in Azadnagar on Thursday night when locals spotted the body of an unidentified woman, aged around 55 years, caught in bushes along the riverbank.

Upon receiving the information, Azadnagar police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body with the assistance of members of the local fishermen community. The body was then sent to the MGM Medical College mortuary for further investigation.

According to witnesses, some residents noticed the body while walking by the river and immediately alerted the authorities. "We saw the body entangled in the bushes near the riverbank," said a member of the fishermen group involved in the recovery.

Currently, police are working to identify the deceased woman. They have urged residents to come forward with any information that may help in the investigation. The case has raised concerns among locals about safety near the riverbanks.
