  • Warned of protests if access roads are not restored for residents.

JAMSHEDPUR – Newly elected Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy took to the streets of Kadma to address public grievances about blocked roads and removed shops near KD Flats. Roy personally visited areas surrounding Congress leader Banna Gupta’s Tata Steel-allocated quarters and reviewed pathways restricted to the public.

Accompanied by BJP workers and a large gathering of locals, Roy appealed for calm as tensions rose. Addressing the crowd, he said, “We have requested Tata Steel to restore these roads for public use. If they fail to act, the growing public anger is evident, and we will not hesitate to act.”

Criticizing Tata Steel, Roy said the company could provide additional quarters or shares to Banna Gupta if needed but insisted that public access must not be compromised. He warned that if the situation remains unresolved, his team would intervene to open the roads themselves.

The visit saw significant public participation, with slogans raised demanding action. To prevent clashes, police maintained a strong presence in the area. Roy assured residents that his election promises would be fulfilled and reiterated his commitment to fighting for public rights.
