JAMSHEDPUR – A thief suffered injuries during a failed break-in attempt at Tata Steel’s facility.

The incident occurred at one of the plant’s older entrance points.

The intruder’s left hand became entangled in gate’s protective iron rods.

Meanwhile, plant security responded swiftly to the situation.

Furthermore, they had to use cutting tools for the rescue operation.

"This individual had a history of unauthorized entries," noted a security official.

Tata Steel has enhanced its security measures in recent years. The plant spans 3,700 acres.

Besides, the facility maintains round-the-clock surveillance with over 1,000 cameras.

On the other hand, local police confirmed multiple previous break-in attempts.

After medical treatment, authorities took the suspect into custody.
