RANCHI – Chief Minister-elect Hemant Soren is preparing for a landmark fourth term after meeting national leaders.
The historic moment approaches for Jharkhand’s political landscape. Hemant Soren visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
"This ceremony marks a defining moment for Jharkhand’s democratic journey," remarked a senior JMM leader.
Moreover, Kalpana Soren, the newly elected MLA, accompanied her husband. The Prime Minister extended his congratulations to both leaders.
Meanwhile, the JMM-led alliance demonstrated remarkable electoral success. They secured 56 seats in the 81-member assembly.
Furthermore, the victory breakdown shows impressive numbers. JMM claimed 34 seats in the assembly.
In addition, Congress secured 16 seats. The RJD and CPI-ML won 4 and 2 seats respectively.
On the other hand, this achievement surpasses previous leadership records. Both Shibu Soren and Arjun Munda served three terms.
The ceremony venue holds historical significance. Morabadi Ground has hosted major political events since 2000.
Besides, prominent INDIA Bloc leaders received invitations. The guest list includes Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

The alliance’s victory reflects growing regional strength. Jharkhand formed its first government in November 2000.
