Mother-Son Duo Attacked with Rod in Jadugoda, Accused on the Run

JAMSHEDPUR – A shocking incident rocked Bandhdih village under Jadugoda Police Station on Friday morning. Around 8 AM, a man identified as Debu Gop attacked Manoj Singh and his mother, Purnima Singh, with a rod, leaving them critically injured.

The police’s highway patrol team rushed to the scene and transported the victims to UCIL Hospital. After receiving initial treatment, the police began their investigation into the case.

The attack was reportedly triggered by a dispute over a false video shared by Debu on Facebook. Manoj Singh said that when he confronted Debu about the video, the latter launched a violent assault. Purnima Singh was also beaten while trying to intervene.

Manoj sustained severe injuries to his arms and legs, while his mother suffered multiple wounds. The police have intensified their search for the accused, who fled the scene after the attack.

The incident has left the local community in fear and anger. Authorities appealed to residents to report any suspicious movements or activities to aid in the investigation.

Jadugoda Police assured that Debu Gop would be apprehended soon and justice delivered to the victims. The case highlights the dangers of social media disputes escalating into violence.
