JAMSHEDPUR – A brick kiln owner was shot and injured after refusing extortion demands from local criminals in Jojobera.

The incident occurred in Rahargora area.

Moreover, police have filed FIR against three suspects.

Meanwhile, extortion cases in Jamshedpur have risen by 25% in the past year.

Furthermore, brick kiln owners have faced increasing criminal threats in recent months.

In addition, a senior police officer states, "We have launched a special operation to curb extortion rackets."

The victim first encountered the main accused at Jojobera Chowk.

Additionally, the attackers fired four warning shots.

However, two bullets struck Singh’s right hand.

On the other hand, all three accused are locals from Jojobera.

Besides, the attack followed multiple extortion attempts.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at TMH.
