JAMSHEDPUR – Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Supriya Shrinate led a spirited roadshow in Jamshedpur, rallying support for Ajoy Kumar with calls to end BJP dominance in the state.

On Tuesday, Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Supriya Shrinate organized a massive roadshow in Jamshedpur to support Ajoy Kumar, their candidate from Jamshedpur East.

They began by paying tribute at the statue of Jharkhand icon Birsa Munda, pledging to unseat the BJP in the upcoming election.

The procession, starting at Sakchi Gol Chakkar, moved through major points including Ramleela Maidan, Bhalubasa, Agrico, Golmuri, and R.D. Tata Chowk, before concluding at JNAC Chowk.

The route was filled with cheering crowds, many on motorbikes, showing enthusiastic support for Kumar. Pilot and Shrinate waved to the people and urged them to vote for Kumar, promising a new era of leadership.

Warm Reception from Sikh Community

During the roadshow, Pilot, Shrinate, and Kumar visited the Sakchi Gurudwara, where Sikh community members welcomed them. The leaders offered prayers at the Gurudwara and received traditional honors from the community.

Reflecting on Ajoy Kumar’s past service, Supriya Shrinate stated, “The work he did in uniform, he will now continue in khadi.”

Shrinate praised Kumar’s past efforts as Jamshedpur’s police chief and stressed his commitment to ending the “family-led fear and dominance” she claims the area has faced.

Battle Between “Ruler” and “Public Servant” – Pilot’s Address

Addressing a gathering later, Sachin Pilot cast the election as a choice between rulers and true public servants. “This election is between a ruler who treats the people as his subjects and Ajoy Kumar, who serves the people,” Pilot declared.

He criticized what he described as a family controlling Jamshedpur and suppressing residents. According to Pilot, Kumar is ready to provide fair, inclusive governance in place of intimidation.

Pilot also criticized the BJP-led central government for what he described as an “injustice” to Jharkhand, citing funds allegedly withheld by the central administration.

“The people have to decide: do they want a qualified leader like Kumar or a family that has ruled through fear for years?” Pilot asked.
