JAMSHEDPUR – Police have seized 49 boxes of foreign liquor from a residence near SP College.

A team was formed after the Parsudih Police received information about illegal liquor sales near the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College area.

Rajkumar Bhagat, a resident of Jharkhand Nagar, was arrested during a raid at his house, which is close to the college.

Various foreign liquor brands were recovered from his home.

Officials acted on a tip-off, leading to the raid conducted by a special team formed under the supervision of Jamshedpur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Law and Order.

The raid occurred in the Parsudih area, and Bhagat is now under investigation for illegal alcohol trade.

Authorities suspect that the liquor was intended for illegal sale.
