JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, a young man named Pankaj Maji was brutally murdered in Adityapur’s Saldih Basti, behind National Electronics.
The murder occurred late Thursday night when Maji was returning home from Bistupur.
His sister, Anjali, informed that the attack was the result of a dispute between her brother and three men—who were named by her to the police—over a phone and money two days earlier.
According to her, the trio ambushed him between 10 and 11 PM, stabbing and shooting him.
Maji was rushed to Tata Main Hospital but was declared dead by doctors.
Adityapur police, led by Officer-in-Charge Rajeev Kumar Singh, reached the spot and have launched a manhunt to catch the absconding attackers.
Raids are being conducted to track down the suspects.
The murder has shocked the local community, raising concerns over escalating crime in the area.
