JAMSHEDPUR – A furniture showroom in Golmuri became the target of a brazen shooting incident, sparking concerns about safety during the festive season.

Unidentified assailants unleashed a barrage of gunfire at Sharma Furniture Showroom in Golmuri’s market area.

The attack occurred when the establishment was closed for business.

Police swiftly arrived at the scene following reports of the shooting.

Investigators recovered bullet casings and pellets from the crime scene.

The second floor of the showroom bore the brunt of the assault, resulting in shattered glass.

Authorities suspect the motive behind the attack may be to instill fear and extort money from local businesses.

The showroom reportedly belongs to Sumit Srivastava, an associate of BJP leader Abhay Singh.

Meanwhile, law enforcement is questioning the store owner as part of their ongoing investigation.

On the other hand, this incident has cast a shadow over police claims of heightened security measures for Durga Puja celebrations.

Residents find themselves gripped by fear as incidents of murder and shootings continue to plague the area.

However, authorities assure the public that they are working diligently to apprehend the culprits and restore peace.
